Group Exercise (Group X) & Water Aerobics

Our YMCA offers many Group X classes to help improve health and fitness. All classes can be adapted for beginners as well as satisfy those looking for more of a challenge. Whether you’re new to group classes or have a lot of experience, you are welcome to join in our fun!

  • All RLA YMCA members can try any class for free once!
  • Gold Members can do any of our Group X classes for free! Including Barre, Fit for Life, AM and/or PM Yoga, AM Splash, Silver Strength and Belly Dance.
  • Adult classes are for those 18+, however exceptions can be made on a case by case basis. Reach out to the Program Director with any questions.

Our AM Splash water aerobics class can be adapted for any skill or endurance level. In this no to low impact workout we use both shallow and deep water to build overall strength and cardiovascular endurance. You can increase resistance with use of our equipment: water weights, kick-boards, noodles, and more!

Barre

Our Barre class is a rigorous workout that blends elements from different exercise styles including Ballet, Pilates, and Yoga; designed to strengthen multiple areas of your body, including your arms, legs, core, and glutes. Adaptions can be made for all skill and endurance levels.

Barre is taking a break Summer 2024 and will resume in September!
